Afsaneh Naimollah is a seasoned global investment banker who has advised a wide range of multinational and middle-market technology companies for more than 20 years. Her current focus is on healthcare IT and healthcare services.
“In 2009, shortly before I joined Marlin & Associates, I saw that healthcare was poised for significant growth and seismic changes. Congress had just passed the HITECH Act which promoted the adoption of health information technology and gave financial incentives to providers to adopt electronic records. Winners and losers; buyers and sellers; consolidators and targets- were all in flux. For the first time in our history we had the stars and the moon aligned for healthcare to change forever. Advanced technologies, social imperatives and access to ample capital facilitated what is becoming a revolutionary period in our industry."
Afsaneh is particularly proud of the role she and her team played in advising Bain Capital Ventures on the merger of their portfolio company, ABILITY Network with IVANS. This was a significant and complex transaction which took over a year to put together and created one of the largest and most dynamic players in the HIT market.
Afsaneh holds a Masters in International Finance from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and has completed her post graduate studies at Northwestern University. For ten years, she was Global Head of Technology Group at Barclays Capital. She is a former Board Member of ON2 Technologies, a publicly traded technology company, which was acquired by Google in December of 2009.
In addition to public speaking at industry conferences, Afsaneh is the senior editor of Marlin's HITs Greatest Hits newsletter which is widely read by industry executives.
