March 28, 2019

Dear Clients and Friends,

We are pleased to announce another successful m&a transaction on which we advised.

Marlin & Associates acted as exclusive strategic and financial advisor to BidFX and its parent, TradingScreen, the market leading provider of SaaS based electronic trading solutions for institutional investors, on a strategically important transaction.

Singapore Exchange (SGX), Asia’s most international multi-asset exchange and largest foreign exchange (FX) marketplace, has acquired a 20% stake in BidFX, plus an option for additional shares to gain a controlling interest, for a total cash consideration of US$25 million.

BidFx offers a cloud-based, front-end trading platform to help hedge funds, asset managers and banks trade, improve access to liquidity, generate alpha and simplify workflows.

Funds provided by SGX will be used to continue enhancing the BidFX platform and add to the unit’s development, sales and management teams - all while rolling out product enhancements, adding liquidity providers, increasing staffing and developing strategic partnerships as well as increasing sales presence in Europe, the US, and Asia.
